Mellow is a beautiful 15yr old BLM mare that stands right at the 15h range. She was previously used in a feedlot in Oklahoma, and has since been a trail horse. True to her breed she has black hard feet (currently barefoot, previously shod all around).

She’s a proven trail partner: goes alone or in a group, can lead, follow, or go in the middle, and is calm with other horses, even in a mixed herd. Mellow moves off pressure, is easy to tack, picks up her feet, and has never kicked.

She’s been ridden in both a hackamore and a bit, is well-trained, and while not the fastest, she isn’t a deadhead and happy to move out. She will carry a nice working trot all day.

One of her best qualities? Her temperament. She’s gentle, reliable, and easy-going in any herd situation. Add to that her striking copper-black-brown coat that shines in the sun, and you’ve got a real looker!
