Half Mammoth / Half Haflinger Mule – Ranch, Trail, Arena – The Kind You Don’t Find Twice
I’d like to introduce you to Zeke, a one-of-a-kind 10-year-old mule that I’ve owned since he was just 6 months old. This is one I know inside and out.
10 years old | Born May 9th
Zeke is a Half Mammoth / Half Haflinger mule, out of a 16.3hh Mammoth jack and a Haflinger mare.
The Basics:
Stands ~15 hands
Barefoot
Up to date on shots
Never been sick – healthy as an ox
Zeke has done just about everything. He’s a true all-around partner—trail riding, arena work, flatwork, and even some jumping. He’s confident and comfortable in places he knows, and while he may take a minute in new environments, he settles in and goes right to work.
Zeke has that classic mule mindset—he’s smart, thinks things through, and absolutely picks his person. If he likes you, he’ll give you everything he’s got. If he doesn’t know you yet, he may test you at first. Give him a couple of days to build that connection, and he comes around solid.
Once you earn his trust, you can:
Rope off him
Hit the trails with confidence
Work him in the arena
Enjoy a steady, capable, all-around partner
Zeke is not for a beginner or timid rider. He’s too smart for that and will take advantage of inexperience. He needs a confident, knowledgeable rider who understands mules and appreciates one with brains and personality.
This is the kind of mule that becomes a true partner when matched with the right person. If you’re looking for something push-button, keep scrolling. If you want something unique, smart, and capable—Zeke is worth your time.
Give him a chance, and he’ll give you everything back.
